“Credit Card Size Ticket Name” refers to the PMS Short Description and here it is being compared to the CORPUS Short Description. These two fields have no historic link and the contents of one has, prior to PMS, had no direct bearing on the contents in the other.

1) Blank CORPUS short description or slight discrepancy in spelling, spacing, punctuation, etc. As the contents of other fields indicate that the same location is being described in CORPUS and PMS no action is required.

2) Closed LUL station and PMS description reflects this. CORPUS may retain old name for operating purposes. As PMS is correct no action required.

3) Discrepancy in Travel Agent names due to takeover. Action only required if PMS name is proved to be incorrect AND travel agent is still trading (most travel agents no longer generate transactions in LENNON).

4) No railway station in Plympton. PMS description should be Plumpton, as per CORPUS. Location in PMS requires editing.

5) CORPUS short description reflects old TOC name. PMS uses current TOC description. No action required in PMS. Owning TOC may wish to contact CORPUS to bring that up to date.

6) CORPUS short description is correct. PMS short description reflects old British Rail office building. Location in PMS requires editing.

7) CORPUS short description is old station name. Owning TOC may wish to contact CORPUS to bring that up to date.

8) Redundant Travel Agent NLCs have been re-used in CORPUS but PMS has not been edited to reflect this. Location in PMS requires editing to avoid confusion.

9) CORPUS short description shows old station name. Owning TOC may wish to contact CORPUS to bring that up to date.

10) Alternative names for same location. This example is an ex-British Rail travel centre that is closed. Location owner may wish to edit PMS to reflect this.

11) NLC for redundant bus stop in CORPUS re-assigned to new non-rail location. Location in PMS requires editing.

12) On-train ticket machine. CORPUS shows current location. PMS shows previous location at closed-station. Location in PMS requires editing.

Most locations reported under this message require no action. Each PMS location owner will need to identify those few records that may require attention, and act accordingly.

This notification will only be sent once, so recipients are advised to store the e-mail for future reference if no immediate action is taken.
